ALEXIS ANSWERS: YES ON PROP 6 √ DATA CENTERS √ TAHOE PLASTICS

Alexis Hill is a two-term Washoe County Commissioner who has served Northern Nevada as a public administrator, planner, and elected leader focused on building stronger and more connected communities. She has led investments in housing and transportation infrastructure, promoted child welfare, mental healthcare and other services to support our most vulnerable neighbors, and helped to protect state and local elections. She was first elected to the Washoe County Commission in 2020, re-elected in 2024, and served as Commission Chair from 2023-2025. She serves on a number of boards and is currently the Chair of the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC).

Alexis ran for Governor in 2026, pledging to put Nevadans First with a bold plan to modernize the state's infrastructure and tax revenue. Without any corporate donors and while building her presence in Southern Nevada from almost zero, she garnered 24% of the statewide Democratic primary vote. She was credited by national and local media with “an ambitious vision” (Nevada Independent) while running “a shoe-leather approach to campaigning [that] made headlines across the state” (KUNR), which presented “a stiff challenge” (8 News Now), even “despite [Ford having] declined to debate Ms. Hill” (New York Times).

Alexis was born and raised in Nevada and lives in Reno with her husband, Matthew, and two daughters. She earned degrees from Texas A&M and the University of Nevada, Reno, where she graduated with a master’s in public administration and public policy, and has worked in a variety of positions in the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
